DONDER IN HET DONKER

Donder – the trio of double bassist Stan Callewaert, pianist Harrison Steingueldoir and drummer Casper Van De Velde – transforms itself into a tantalizing, unusual concept.

The audience settles down around the band on mats and cushions in a barely lit room. The line between stage and hall – musicians and audience – blurs. The darkness acts as a magnifying glass for the smallest details. You become aware of your own breathing, every smallest movement and sound in and around the room. The musicians and audience disappear into a cocoon, disconnected from the outside world. The sense of time and place fades away. A collective trance is created between dream and reality, where everything and everyone becomes a part of the music.
