The floating, ethereal accompaniment by the great Bill Frisell (guitar) is outstanding. The precise, on-point bass of Thomas Morgan (bass), who has worked with Bill for many years, gently intertwines with Belgium’s top-notch horn section to fully bring out the charm of Dutch singer-songwriter Chantal Acda, who transcends genre boundaries.
This is her greatest masterpiece and a strong candidate for the best album of 2024.
